The monks have long gone but the whisky is back. This is the first general release from the historic Lindores Abbey distillery and matured in a mix of bourbon barrels, wine barriques and sherry butts.
This is a big fruity dram with lots of pear drops and green apples. The youthful side of this whisky comes through with a lovely fresh barely note.
